Update Your Access

When you registered for NGSConnex you selected the sections of NGSConnex you needed access to and if you are not the LSO for your provider organization, the LSO reviewed and approved your request. If you need to make changes to your access you can do so in the ‘Manage Account’ section by following these steps.

  1. Select the Manage Account button on the NGSConnex home page.

  1. Select User Profile to complete any of the following an individual user.
  2. Scroll down to the ‘System Access’ section to modify your access.
  3. Select the applicable provider account you would like to modify access for, by selecting the checkbox.
  4. Select the Edit button to modify your access.

  1. Modify your access by selecting or deselecting the applicable checkboxes for any of the following:
    • Provider Profile
    • Eligibility Lookup
    • Claims
    • Financials

  1. Select the Save button.

If you are a standard NGSConnex user and update your access, the LSO for your provider organization must review and approve the update.

Update Your Account Type

You also have the ability to update your account type from a standard account holder to a Local Security Officer by following these steps:

  1. Select the applicable provider account you would like to modify access for, by selecting the checkbox.
  2. Select the Edit button to modify your access.

  1. To change your account type from standard to LSO, select the LSO/User Management checkbox.
  2. Enter the following information in the applicable fields.
    • Check/EFT Number – enter a check/EFT number issued by National Government Services within the last 90 days.
    • Check/EFT Amount
    • The Access Code field will auto-populate if valid check information is entered and verified. You will be granted immediate access as the LSO for the provider organization.
  3. If you are unable to obtain check/EFT information you can select the checkbox, ‘I am a new provider and have not received a check from Medicare or I am an existing provider and have not received a check in the last 90 days.’ You will not be granted immediate access to NGSConnex. An Access code will be mailed to the payee address on file for the provider organization. Please allow 7-10 business days for receipt.

If you are an LSO for the provider organization and want to change your account type to standard, another LSO within your provider organization will be required to make the change.
