National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month

National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month is observed in March every year. Its goal is to spread information about colorectal cancer and make people aware of the illness.

Educating people and spreading awareness encourages them to go for routine screenings and increases their chances of catching it in the early stages.

Medicare provides preventive services Colorectal Cancer Screening. Screenings are performed to diagnose colorectal cancer or to determine a beneficiary’s risk for developing colorectal cancer. Colorectal cancer screening may consist of several different screening services to test for polyps or colorectal cancer.
