Skilled Nursing Facility Educational Center
As part of the effort to lower the SNF improper payment rate, CMS has initiated a five claim Skilled Nursing Facility Probe & Educate allowing for outreach to all Medicare billing SNFs in the country. Each MAC will be requesting a five claim sample from each SNF in their jurisdiction. After the claim sample has been reviewed the SNF will then be offered education to address any errors identified, helping them to avoid future claim denials and adjustments.
Although every reasonable effort has been made to assure the accuracy of the information, within these pages, at the time of publication, the Medicare Program is constantly changing, and each provider must remain abreast of the Medicare Program requirements.
