PECOS Starter Guide

Follow the steps outlined below to assist you and your staff with the PECOS processes.

New/Initial Enrollee

  1. Log into PECOS
  2. Select My Associates
  3. Select Create Initial Enrollment Application
  4. Answer questions from the applications questionnaire(s)
  5. Confirm accuracy, reason for application on summary page and select Start Application
  6. Complete each topic that pertains to your provider type/organization structure including uploading documentation and submit the application

Revalidation

  1. Log into PECOS
  2. Select My Associates
  3. Scroll down to Existing Associates to find the provider/facility name, select View Enrollments
  4. Find the enrollment in question
  5. Select Revalidate
  6. Confirm accuracy, reason for application on summary page and select Start Application
  7. Make changes and/or upload supporting documents, complete and submit the application

Return for Corrections

  1. Log intoPECOS
  2. Select My Associates
  3. Scroll down to Existing Associates to find the provider/facility name, select View Enrollments
  4. Find the enrollment in question (an 855R is located under View/Manage Reassignment)
  5. Select Correct and Resubmit
  6. Make corrections and/or upload supporting documents and resubmit application

Change of Information

  1. Log into PECOS
  2. Select My Associates
  3. Scroll down to Existing Associates to find the provider/facility name, select View Enrollments
  4. Find the enrollment in question
  5. Select More Options
  6. Answer questions from the applications questionnaire(s)
    • Select Perform a change of information to current enrollment information
  7. Confirm accuracy, reason for application on summary page and select Start Application
  8. Make changes and/or upload supporting documents, complete and submit the application

Submit Pending Application

  1. Log into PECOS
  2. Select My Associates
  3. Scroll down to Existing Associates to find the provider/facility name, select View Enrollments
  4. Find the enrollment in question (an 855R is located under View/Manage Reassignment)
  5. Select More Options or Correct and Resubmit
  6. Select Continue working on application
  7. Make changes and/or upload supporting documents, complete and submit the application

Add a New Reassignment for an Active Provider for a Select State (Part B Only)

  1. Log into PECOS
  2. Select on My Associates
  3. Scroll down to Existing Associates to find the provider/facility name, select View Enrollments
  4. Find the enrollment in question and select View/Manage Reassignment
  5. Scroll down to select Manage Reassignments
  6. Answer questions from the applications questionnaire(s)
    • Select Add Reassignment
    • Select No I only make reassignment updates
  7. Confirm accuracy, reason for application on summary page and select Start Application
  8. Complete the topics and submit the application

Remove a Reassignment (Part B Only)

  1. Log into PECOS
  2. Select My Associates
  3. Scroll down to Existing Associates to find the provider/facility name, select on View Enrollments
  4. Find the enrollment in question and select View/Manage Reassignment
  5. Scroll down to select Manage Reassignments
  6. Answer questions from the applications questionnaire(s)
    • Select Remove Reassignment
    • Select No I only make reassignment updates
  7. Confirm accuracy, reason for application on summary page and select Start Application
  8. Complete the topics and submit the application

View Existing Medicare ID (PTAN) Reports

  1. Log into PECOS
  2. Select My Associates
  3. Scroll down to Existing Associates to find the provider/facility name, select View Enrollments
  4. Find the enrollment in question, select either:
    • View Medicare ID Report
    • View Approved Enrollment Report
    • View/Manage Reassignment for the reassignment report
