Attention Illinois Medicare Providers: Stepping Into a New Era with Opioids - CDC Best Practices

Presented by Telligen QIN-QIO

As part of our continuing work together, National Government Services would like to make our providers aware of a two-part session that will be hosted by the Illinois QIN-QIO, Telligen. If you work with opioids for patients, this may prove beneficial to your practice.

Exploring the future of opioid utilization, this two-part series will cover the major points in the newly updated Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Clinical Practice Guideline for Prescribing Opioids for Pain, with special attention given to differences between the updated and original documents.

Objectives of this event include:

  • Summarize the 12 recommendations contained with the 2022 Guidelines.
  • Contrast the approach taken by the updated Guidelines with that of the original.
  • Describe how the updated guidelines will change your work in healthcare.

The webinar series is open to all, including physicians, APRNs, PAs, PharmDs, RNs and recovery workers.
