Creating a New User Account

Step 1

Access Medicare University login page.

Once you are on the login page, you will see a login box just like the example below.

Step 2

Click on the “Create New User” button.

Step 3

Complete all questions/fields.

In order to create a new user account, you will have to fill out the following informational fields on the “Create User” page.

User Profile Fields Description
User ID (*Required Field) Create your own unique user ID. User IDs must be at least four characters long.
First Name (*Required Field) The first name field is for you to input your first name only.
Middle Initial The middle initial field is for you to input your middle initial only. If you do not have a middle initial you can leave this field blank.
Last Name (*Required Field) The last name field is for you to input your last name only.
Email (*Required Field) The email ID field is for you to input your e-mail address.

In the future, if you forget your password we will send your password to the email address you provided. So please be sure that the email address you are providing is active
Password (*Required Field) The password field is where you will create a password that you will need to have available to gain access to the Medicare University in the future.

The password must:
  • be at least eight characters in length,
  • use at least one capital letter,
  • use at least one number and
  • use at least one of these symbols.

Confirmation Password (*Required Field) After you enter your password in the password field, you will need to confirm your password. In the confirm password field, enter your password again.
Address The Address ID field is for you to input the street address where you are located.
City The city ID field is for you to input the city where you are located.
State The state ID field is a drop-down for you to select the state where you are located.
Zip /Postal The ZIP Code field is for you to input the five-digit numeric ZIP Code where you are located.
Country Select United States of America
Phone The contact telephone number field is for you to input your contact telephone number. Contact telephone numbers will be a ten-digit numeric number.

*Sub Orgs Fields Description
Provider/Supplier Name (*Required Field) The provider/supplier name field is for your provider/supplier name.

If not applicable enter "N/A"
National Provider Identifier (*Required Field) The NPI field is for you to input your ten-digit numeric NPI number.
Or
If not applicable enter "N/A"
City (*Required Field) The city ID field is for you to input the city where you are located.
State (*Required Field) The state ID field is a drop-down box that allows you to select where you are located.
Zip Code (*Required Field) The zip code field is for you to input the five-digit numeric ZIP Code where you are located.
Contact Telephone (*Required Field) The contact telephone number field is for you to input your contact telephone number. Contact telephone numbers will be a ten-digit numeric number.
Primary Billing Contract (*Required Field) The primary billing contract field is a drop-down box that allows you to select which contract you primarily bill. You will have the following options to choose from:
  • Part A
  • Part B
  • RHHI
  • Other
Just because you have selected one contract from the drop-down box, does not mean that you will only be able to access information based on that contract. Regardless of which contract selected, you will have access to all educational trainings offered.
Listserv (*Required Field) The Listserv field is a drop-down box that allows you to select Yes or No. If you selected “yes,” this will automatically sign you up for the National Government Services email updates.


Once you have completed all of the required fields, at the bottom of the “Create New User” page click the “Create New User” button.

In order to enroll in Medicare University you must accept the terms of use. Please read the terms of use and if acceptable click the “Accept” button.

Once all fields are completed correctly and you have accepted the terms of use, you will be directed to the Course Catalog page of Medicare University.
