Medicare Part A guidelines provide for accelerated payments under highly exceptional circumstances. Accelerated payment criteria and eligibility requirements are outlined in the CMS Paper-Based Manuals Publication 15-1, Medicare Provider Reimbursement Manual—Part 1 (PRM-I), Chapter 24, Payment to Providers, Section 2412.
