New Edits for National Government Services Advance Communication Engine System

We are continuously implementing new edits for Jurisdiction 6 (Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota) Medicare Part B to take advantage of our new NGS-ACE

NGS-ACE includes additional business level edits applied to your electronically submitted claims. This editing allows you to correct any errors and resubmit your claim before the MCS receives them. NGS-ACE returns the edit information on the 277 Claim Acknowledgement (277CA) transaction that you currently receive. NGS-ACE is available to all direct submitters as well as those who transmit claims via clearinghouses/billing services. It’s important to communicate with your clearinghouse to ensure you are able to receive a full 277CA to include these smart edits.

After you review the NGS-ACE edit, if you choose not to change the claim(s), you can resubmit in its original format and it will pass to the MCS claims adjudication system for processing.

There are many benefits associated to NGS-ACE such as; improved billing inefficiencies, reduced appeal/reopening requests, decreased denial rates, reduced administrative costs and reduced provider burden.

Stay informed by visiting our current NGS-ACE Edits web page and get answers to frequently asked questions.

We are also offering webinars to review the NGS-ACE edit module and answer any questions you may have. All direct submitters, as well as those who transmit claims via clearinghouses/billing services within J6, are encouraged to attend. Visit our Events web page, or register below.
