Tips to Ensure an Optimal NGSMedicare.com Experience

Most of you are probably aware, but if not, on Friday, 5/14/2021, we launched our new combined homepage. These changes were a result of your feedback. You now only need to go to NGSMedicare.com to either login to begin completing your NGSConnex transactions as you do today or select your jurisdiction and LOB to browse your educational content.

On Friday, we learned a few tips from you and wanted to share to ensure everyone has an optimal experience while navigating this exciting change which is the start of more positive changes that will occur in 2021.

1. Logging into NGSConnex from the New Combined Homepage

Your login credentials (User ID and Password) you use to login to NGSConnex have not changed since the launch of the new combined homepage. You will use the same login credentials you used prior to 5/14/2021. If you are wanting to log in and conduct transactions, you do not need to make a jurisdiction and line of business selection on the left-side of the page. Simply log in on the right-side by using your same NGSConnex login credentials.

2. Update Your Browser Now if You’re Using Internet Explorer

Starting July 2021, our sites will no longer support the IE browser. You will be required to use one of the supported browsers below:

3. Do You Need To Reset Your NGSConnex Password?

Follow these steps:

  1. Select Can’t Log In from the new combined homepage NGSMedicare.com.

This is the NGSConnex screen where a user enters their login credentials.

  2. Then select Change/Forgot My Password.
  3. Enter Your User ID and Email Address and then click Submit.
  4. Enter Your Challenge Answer and then select Submit (Note: Your challenge answer is not case sensitive)
  5. The system will then provide a temporary password.
  6. Copy the temporary password, then select Continue.
  7. You will then enter your User ID and paste your temporary password on the homepage and select Enter.
  8. System will then require you to change your temporary password. You will enter temporary password again on the first line and then create a new password under the field titled “New Password.” You will enter the new password again under the “Verify New Password” and select Save.

4. Do You Want to Remember Your NGSMedicare.com Jurisdiction and Line of Business Choice?

Do you want to browse the NGSMedicare.com site for educational content without having to enter your jurisdiction and LOB each time from the homepage? You have the option of bookmarking your selection homepage from your Internet browser.

Once you’ve made your selections and entered the website, you can bookmark that page for future use by click on the bookmark feature on the page. This will allow you to come back in the future right to this page and bypass entering your LOB.

This image is demonstrating where the bookmark feature is located on the page. The bookmark feature is located on the right-hand side of every page on NGSMedicare.com

5. Safeguarding PHI and PII information When Conducting Transactions in NGSConnex

NGS has safeguards in place as required by the CMS to protect PHI and PII data. These security measures are necessary and are only applied to your experience when conducting transactions related to PHI and PII data, they do not impact you when browsing educational content on NGSMedicare.com.

6. Looking for Your Local Security Officer Information?

If you are unsure who the LSO is for your organization, you can find this information in the “My User Profile” mega tab from the top navigation menu on NGSConnex, under the My LSO panel.

First, scroll to the System Access panel, select the provider account that you are trying to determine the LSO for and click the row to select the provider account. Scroll to the “My LSO” panel for a list of all LSOs for the associated account selected.
