May is National Mental Health Awareness Month

Although May is the month of national focus on mental health awareness, it is a daily focus for many dealing with mental health conditions. Integrating behavioral health care with primary care (“behavioral health integration” or “BHI”) is an effective strategy for improving outcomes for the millions of Americans with mental health or behavioral health conditions.

Due to the increased need for collaborative behavioral health services, National Government Services has joined forces with CMS to promote behavioral health integration services that are available to the Medicare population. NGS is encouraging Medicare providers to take the opportunity to learn more about the Psychiatric Collaborative Care Model.

We offer monthly education sessions for Psychiatric Collaborative Care Management and Behavioral Health Integration. We hope you will join us for an in depth overview of CoCM and BHI services. We’ve provided the links to register below:
