Contractor Advisory Committee Meeting
As part of the 21st Century Cures Act, contractors are mandated to base an LCD on robust evidence. Part of the process is to convene SMEs as necessary to review the literature and provide input that plays a role in the development of a future coverage decision.
The purpose of the CAC meeting is to provide a formal mechanism for healthcare professionals to be informed of the evidence used in developing an LCD and promote communications between the MACs and the health care community. The CAC panel will discuss the clinical literature and rate their confidence in a series of key questions. Discussions will occur between SMEs and Contractor Medical Directors. The public may attend; however, questions from the public will not be entertained.
Complete meeting details such as agenda, bibliography of literature for evidentiary review, registration, voting questions, and webinar information are posted below. The meeting will be recorded and both the audio and written transcript will be made public.
