National Government Services, Inc. (NGS) has a long history of supporting federal health agencies such as the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).   • Administers the Medicare Part A (hospital insurance) contract for the states of Connecticut, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont and Wisconsin serving over 14,000 Part A providers of service.

  • Administers the Medicare home health and hospice contract for the states of Alaska, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Idaho, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin and the U.S. Territories of American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands serving over 4,700 home health and hospice providers of service.

  • Administers the Medicare free standing federally qualified health centers (FQHC) contract serving over 4,300 FQHCs in 44 states and 5 territories.

  • Administers the Medicare Part B (medical insurance) contract for the states of Connecticut, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont and Wisconsin serving over 380,000 Part B physicians and providers of service.

  • Processed over 225 million Medicare claims and administered benefits of more than $79 billion from the Medicare Trust Fund in 2017.

  • Responded to over 3.3 million phone and interactive voice response (IVR) calls, 54,000 written inquiries and 400 Congressional inquiries from the Medicare community in 2017.

  • Developed and maintains web-based self-service tools that allows Medicare providers to have millions of interactions to answer their educational and billing needs in 2017.

  • Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) divisions are appraised at Maturity Level 3 using Carnegie Mellon’s Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Capability Maturity Model® Integration (CMMI). Two divisions of National Government Services have achieved advanced appraisals with Next Generation Desktop (NGD), achieving a Maturity Level 5 appraisal and National Government Services Financial Solutions (NGSFS) achieving a Maturity Level 4.

  • Developed and maintains the NGD system 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. NGD interacts with all Medicare claims processing systems and other multiple government data sources which is capable of hosting 20,000 agents, thousands of web users, and the ability to process over 100 million inquiries per year.
