Incorrect Claim Denials for Angiography Services - HealthNow Region
National Government Services, Inc. has recently discovered that claims for angiography services performed unrelated to cardiac catheterization, and provided prior to September 1, may have been incorrectly denied for medical necessity. Claims would have been submitted between September 1 and October 10, 2008, with CPT codes 36120, 36140, 36200, 36215, 36216, 36217, 36218, 36245, 36246, 36247, 36248, 75625, 75630, 75650, 75658, 75660, 75662, 75665, 75671, 75676, 75680, 75685, 75705, 75710, 75716, 75722, and 75724. National Government Services, Inc. has corrected the editing and will be automatically reprocessing such claims for adjustment. Providers do not need to submit appeals for these denied claims.
