This is to inform providers that the following list of local coverage determinations (LCDs) and corresponding Supplemental Instructions Articles (SIAs) have been posted to this contractor’s Web site (Local Coverage Determination (LCD) Status page): http://www.ngsmedicare.com/ngsmedicare/PartA/Coverage/LCD/IndexLCDPartA.aspx and to the CMS database: http://www.cms.hhs.gov/mcd/search.asp?from2=search1.asp&  .
We invite any interested parties to review these drafts and submit comments to us. Instructions for offering comments or attending Open meetings can also be found on our Web site.

- Magnetic Resonance Imaging
- Outpatient Pulmonary Rehabilitation
- Pain Management
- Panretinal (Scatter) Laser Photocoagulation
- Parathormone (Parathyroid Hormone, PTH, Immunoreactive PTH)
- Percutaneous Coronary Intervention
- RAST Type Tests
- Scanning Computerized Ophthalmic Diagnostic Imaging (SCODI)
- Surveillance of Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators (ICDs): Office, Hospital, Web, or Non-Web Based
- Syphilis Tests
- Venipuncture Necessitating Physician’s Skill for Specimen Collection
- Viral Hepatitis Serology Tests
The comment period for these drafts runs from 9/2/08 to 10/16/ 2008. Any comments received during this period or at the Open Meeting will be reviewed and a summary of the comments and our responses will be viewable on the Local Coverage Determination (LCD) prior to the LCDs taking effect.
