Illinois Part A Data Center Transition Reminder and Moratorium on New User IDs
This notification is a reminder that on August 26, 2008 National Government Services, Inc. is transitioning from the NGS Data Center to the Electronic Data Systems (EDS) Data Center. This transition affects only our Part A Illinois workload. To prepare for this transition, National Government Services will put a brief moratorium on assigning new FISS user IDs for the legacy data center. Requests for new user IDs will be held starting on August 8, 2008 and will be processed after the August 26 transition. You may continue to submit your new requests; however, you will not receive IDs until at least September 5.
As a reminder, if you are a current user of the FISS online system and your facility has not yet completed the Transition Contact Form located at http://www.ngsmedicare.com/ngsmedicare/PartA/Claims/EDI/DCT.aspx, you must do so before July 31 to avoid disruption in service during the data center transition.
National Government Services will be publishing a training schedule in early August to assist you with logging into the new data center, changing your password, setting up your Automated Password Reset Tool and accessing FISS. Please check our Web site at www.NGSMedicare.com for regular updates.
